The DIAS laboratory is a multinational team of scientists and it offers a wide range of projects and excellent computing and experimental facilities. The group is also in close collaboration with leading research groups in the area of computer architecture as well as dependable systems. EPFL is one of the leading technical universities worldwide. Ph.D. student

A PhD student must be admitted to the EPFL doctoral program in order to become a research assistant in DIAS lab. Research assistants receive a full EPFL salary. For any additional questions, contact us.

Post-Doctoral Researcher

We are always looking for highly qualified recent graduates with a PhD in Computer Science or relevant areas, who are interested in database systems. The interests of the lab are very broad, and the selected candidate can define a project within a large variety of potential directions. Candidates must have a strong desire and proven ability to invent, build, and publish their work. A strong publication record and hands-on experience in system development are important.

Our positions are initially for one year (renewable). Salary and social benefits are extremely competitive.

Research Intern

After their official admission to the program, the DIAS lab can offer summer research internships for students from universities worldwide; an exceptionally strong background in computer systems and/or databases is required. These internships constitute opportunities to pursue research that could lead up to the intern’s diploma/Masters project, or that is developed into a subsequent PhD thesis topic. DIAS provides accepted interns with a stipend that covers housing, food transportation, etc.
